The Mitra’s Bath and Body brand is named after the daughter of the founder who had allergies and skin irritation for years. Many over the counter products did not work and often left Mitra’s skin dry and further irritated. Irene, the founder, spoke to her grandmother about Mitra’s allergies and in response, her grandmother sent raw shea butter from Ghana.

The shea butter worked! After extensive research on the health benefits of shea butter, Irene decided to experiment with unrefined Shea Butter and other natural ingredients and developed a variety of bath and body care products that contain no parabens, petrochemicals or preservatives.

Unrefined Shea Butter is the core ingredient in many of Mitra’s Bath and Body’s products. Absolutely nothing is removed from our butter in the production of our products.

We maintain the natural color, natural scent, and texture in order to preserve the health and protective benefits of shea. In order to maintain integrity, there is little “interference” in our production process to insure the highest quality skincare line. This is our standing promise to you.
